As part of our continued commitment to supporting basic education and literacy, Project UPTOWN (Unlocking Potential Through Our Words and Nurturing) carried on with the successful conduct of Brigada Eskwela 2025 at our adopted school, Maligaya Elementary School.
The Rotaract Club of Uptown Cubao, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Uptown Cubao and the Rotary Community Corps of Uptown Cubao, proudly led a day of service that centered on creating a clean, welcoming, and nurturing learning environment for students as they prepare for the upcoming school year.
The following key activities were conducted:
- Turnover of Cleaning Materials
– Essential cleaning supplies were handed over to the school administration to support ongoing classroom and facility preparations. This contribution aims to ensure that students and teachers return to a safe and clean learning environment. - Reading Session
– Spearheaded by United President Enzo Abatayo, the reading session aimed to engage young learners in a fun and interactive way, nurturing not only their literacy skills but also their love for reading. This activity directly supports the literacy component of Project UPTOWN. - Feeding Program
– In line with our efforts to address hunger and malnutrition, a simple yet meaningful feeding program was conducted to provide nourishment to the participating students and learners. This act of care reinforces the role of nutrition in effective learning and child development.
This initiative reflects our shared mission to Unite for Good, bringing together Rotarians, Rotaractors, and community partners to uplift public education. Through our ongoing presence in Maligaya Elementary School, we reaffirm our commitment to being not just project implementers—but partners in the future of every learner we serve.
