Written by On November 21, the fairways of Veterans Memorial Golf Club in Quezon City became the ground for service and camaraderie as we successfully partnered with the Rotary Club of Uptown Cubao for The 5th PDG Oscar ‘Oca’ Inocentes Golf Tournament.
This major fundraising event serves as the lifeblood for our upcoming community initiatives, and the Rotaract Club of Uptown Cubao was all hands on deck to ensure its success.
Service in Action
Our members played pivotal roles in the event’s execution:
- Creative & Logistics: Pres. Enzo Abatayo led the visual identity of the tournament, designing the tickets, event photos, and the sponsorship tarpaulins in collaboration with RC Secretary Rod Alava. He also served as a runner during the event to ensure smooth operations.
- Hosting: PP Ian Tomaquin brought the energy as the event host, managing the program from the tee-off to the awarding.
Fellowship & Victory
After a competitive day on the green, the event transitioned into a celebratory fellowship. We hosted the awarding ceremony, honoring the winners and celebrating the generosity of everyone involved. It was a night of good food, great stories, and the satisfaction of a job well done.
